Something is loose in my front suspension

Ive got a 95 F150 2 wheeler and its making a dull rattle on the drivers side. Only does it over bumps. Any idea what it is?

Mine does it but it's something in the door. I fixed the same problem on another of the same truck by putting RTV on all of the stretched out rivets holding things together inside the doorl.

Sounds like a shock.

it could also be break pads, if your anti-rattle springs are worn out. Try riding the brakes a touch when you go over any bumps. if the noise stops then you know what it is.

Check the rubber bushing on the radius arm, they are the culprit alot of times.

Could also be the lower bolt that goes through the shock is worn down leaving space and the shock is banging against it. Pull the bolt and see, not a big job. If it's a little worn, wrap some electrical tape a few times around the center and replace it, then look for a new bolt, in the mean time it will quiet down.

I agree with sooperdoodle-radius arm bushings; usually clonk hard when you go through a deep pothole, rattle a bit over bumps; not an easy job at home

I had the same issue, radius rod bushings, cheap parts - but like said above it isn't a DIY job for the average joe.

Replacing radius arm bushings is terrible. I have done it twice on Explorers. Its not impossible though, and a shop would charge you a small fortune.

Radius arm bushings are a big pain! so lets hope its not that. Does it do it when you steer or really only on bumps. hard braking? changing direction from reverse to forward?

Check the shocks, ball joints, tie rod ends, and radius arms. Bushings included.
It's almost bound to be one of them.
