OK fellas. I just checked the connection to the starter today, noticed it a little loose and scuzzy, went to tighten it to see how loose it was, turned the ratchet a couple times and the actual moment I could start to feel any torque the casing behind the nut began to crumble and crank before my eyes! The corrosion of the casing behind this connecting bolt was unreal. This is a Bosche remanufactured unit less than 11 months old!!!Thankfully it has a 2 year warranty, and I have a new one arriving tomorrow afternoon. This will hopefully be the problem, if not I have found and fixed what was a soon to be problem. I also hope this is not a warranty issue I will be dealing with every year! Anyone else seen this happening?
As Ron said you can use dieelectric grease, I use Noalox, you can pick it up at Home Depot or Lowes. It is an oxide inhibiting compound that works great.
