I need to replace one of my fog lights on my 2000 F150. Can someone tell me , do I need to pull the valance to get to the mounting bolts for the factory style lights?
Thanks ,
Larry
No need to remove it, just get at it from the back. I believe 3 bolts will remove it. I just did it on my truck a few weeks ago, they're 8mm and it'll remove the bracket as well. From there you can remove the fog light housing itself. There's an adjustment screw that will toy with the angle of the light beam, just try to get it as close as possible if installing a new housing...
If it's just the bulb, you can get at it from the back without removing the housing.
its just three bolts on top of the bracket the easiest is just to replace the whole thing, its kind of decieving looking like it might be a whole lot more of a job than it really is good luck
Thanks guys. Just didn't want to tie into it in the driveway when it's colder than he-- and find out it was going to take a lot of time to replace. I do have the complete unit to replace so hopefully goes well. I'll see how cold it is before I do anything tho.
Thanks again!!
Larry
