Something else to do with WVO!

Nothing really new here. Simple co-generation. A neighbor of mine has been doing it for 14 years. He's been totally off grid that long. He uses the heat from his diesel gen-set (powered by WVO) to heat his hot water, with the excess going to a 1,000 gallon insulated tank acting as a "heat sink". He also has a wind-gen that is integrated into the system. If his battery bank is low the power goes into them, but when the bank is full the excess power runs heating elements in the tank to save the "energy". The stored energy in the tank is used with a ground loop heatpump to heat his home and shop. He has less than $10,000 in the whole system...................Homebuilt of course!

Everything in the physical world is more or less connected in one way or another - its a closed system. What's scary about finding ways to make that a benefit?

Perhaps I should have said "make me dizzy with how they thought up this stuff". When I say that I more so speak of things such as the internet, for example. (Before you say it, I know that it all makes perfect sense and when it all comes down to it, it is very basic.) But the first person that said "I can make instant world-wide communication (of all types) happen" scares me. Not in a bad, shlt my pants way, but just in a weird, how in God's name kind of way. What people are doing with waste is very smart, however.
