I've been noticin my door was getting harder to open from the inside and i have broken two handles off since then. Anybody else having this problem? Somebody i talked to from around here said a cable might be stretched but I have yet to take of the door panel and look.
Theres a thin pice of metal that over time gets week and brakes, you half to remove the door pannel and remove the door handle. i just got a bolt and washer to brace the hole and thin re bolt the handle.
If it already rip bracket? Weld or rivet steel on it?
I notice that one alway break. plus replace handle on 97 F250 HD because hard open plus it have TONS of dust cover. That was contractor truck so it get dirty tons.
69Black250 lubricate the spring and hinge points in the mechanism (Jason's third pic) and the door handle will work great. Use the fender washer and a nylock too and you'll be golden for years to come.
Get a NEW one. Anything form the junk yard will be stretched out also.
The pics/problem Jason posted can also be attributed to a bad cable. The more they stretch, the harder peeps pull on them. Thus, breaking the speed bolt.
