There might even be a little card in with the owners manual with the code on it. Ive seen them before like that.

If you can't put your hands on the wallet card, you can find the factory set 5 - digit entry code on the computer module, under the hood.

sure about that Sako? never heard of that before

so far it's only been available in 3 places

1. dealer computer reader
2. on the door lock PCM on the back wall
3. that little card in the owners manual

be pretty cool if that's the case

For real. When I bought mine, used, a few years back - I had no idea what the code was. So I picked up the owners manual (of course the wallet card was MIA) and there, on page 93, I found the treasure map and whaallaa. I had it reprogrammed in about thirty seconds.

This is what my manual says on page 108 for the 4th printing on 2006 models manual

KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEM (IF EQUIPPED)
You can use the keyless entry
keypad to:
• lock all vehicle doors.
• unlock only the driver’s door.
• unlock all vehicle doors.
• program/erase the customer keycode.
• enable/disable the autolocking feature.

The keypad can be operated with the factory set 5–digit entry code; this
code is located on the owner’s wallet card in the glove box, is marked on
the computer module
, and is available from your authorized dealer. You
can also create your own 5–digit personal entry code.
When pressing the controls on the keypad, press the middle of the
controls to ensure a good activation.
that computer module I bolded is usually on the back wall of the cab...is yours inside the engine bay or something?

I went out and looked at my trucks PCM and there isn't a 5 digit code on it. is this code located somewhere else under the hood?

here is pic of my PCM from my supercharger install. the white areas are some things I had to write on it, but the rest is untouched.

Might be old timers disease, and I know I have slept since then but, I would not steer you wrong. At least, not on purpose. I never claimed to be the brightest crayon in the box (ask my wife, she will confirm that I am not) but, I'm sure thats where I got it. I know that I have never been behind the back seat and yes the PCM is under the hood. Please be aware that I am not trying to be argumentative (not my nature). I could be mistaken. It's a good thing that I am not the custodian of the launch codes.

sorry if I'm coming across as argumentative with you. I am genuinely curious. You'll see threads asking about where that code is about every other day on here...or how to remove the rear seats to get to that code.

so if you can find it under the hood, that would be alot easier for everybody

I posted a picture of the my PCM to see if that is where you got it from...or from another module under the hood

No problem- we're good. I have only been on this forum for a couple of weeks and find it, and certainly you, to be a wealth of info. I sure don't want to create a bad rep. Yeah, that is where I found it.

BTW - thanks again for the DIY hints on the headlight mod.
