Setting roller rockers ????
the method i use is to rotate engine till both lifters are bottomed out for that cylinder. then tighten down rocker arm till the pushrods stops rotating by hand. then turn anothe 1/4 turn to set preload on lifters. i think the recommended pre-load is something like .020 on the lifters, but chck with the manufacturer of the lifters you are using for thier recommondation. then lock in the nut and away you go to the next cylinder.
i do each cylinder in turn as to not loose track of which ones are done and not done. there is a method to put the timing mark in a certain spot and you can do certain cylinders at once, but i like doing each cylinder at a time instead.
you also want to check the contact pattern between the rockers and valves to make sure it is correct. at zero lift the contact point should be just off center towards the exhaust side of head, then when you do a full rotation it should move thru center towards intake side of head and then back. you don't want the contact point to far to one side or other. to correct this you will have to install shorter or longer pushrods to get it int he correct spot.
do a search on web as there is a few sites that show this pattern and how to achieve it.
