4x4 not working

4x4 not working
front wheels on my 03 f150 not engaging when i shift into 4high with elec shift. front driveshaft is engaging and turning but not front wheels. acuator moves freely in and out when switch is turned. thinking it has to be inside front diff. any advice would be helpful. where could i find picture of inside of front diff? it is a 8.8, thanks

yes i did figure it out. it was the shift fork in the front diff. there are two plastic pieces on the shift fork that were broken off and gone. seems to me that its a cheap design for that part. it cost me around $180 for the part (it comes in a kit). from ford. i did find it a little cheaper on net but did not want to wait as truck was apart. it took me about five to six hours to do altogether. hope this helps
