I have a 1989 f350 and it has a after market paxon supercharger . I really don't notice if it is working or not , How much boost should it be producing ,only about 4lbs. right know.

 

All depends what it's set up for with pulley sizes etc., and what condition the supercharger is in. Check the belt, tensioner, etc. Make sure it keeps tension, and isn't slipping.

 

Also check all your hose connections and check for cracks in the tubing. You could have a air leak that wouldn't allow pressure to build up. I had my intake tube blow off in the mountains with my Vortech V2 I had on my old 2000 rustang gt. I was at full throttle when it happened and thought I blew the engine lol. Made a very loud pop and a whistling sound. Pretty exciting.

 

Nevermind, I just looked up superchargers for your truck on Summit Racing. Apparently the pulley's are set for 4-5lbs for a 460 from the factory. Easy to change but be careful....!! Without a strong, built engine and some tuning, that thing can let loose pretty easily. I spent 5k over the cost of the blower when I did my build. Just FYI.
