Grab a spare set of points & condensor, a spare coil, starter solenoid, starter, belt/s, hoses, fuel filter and have extra oil and coolant. And have a basic set of hand tools along. Besides that just enjoy the drive.

Thanks man we will do - I put an electric ignition in it but the other stuff is a great idea. Its a long way back east......

That's a good upgrade. But it's not a bad idea to carry a spare one of those too. Nothing sucks like being stranded out in the middle of nowhere because you electronic ignition crapped out.

... or keep the old points setup handy so you can retrofit quickly and get you rolling again.

That's a much cheaper option.

Twinturbor is starting off with a positive reputation.
89 f150 turbo

Anyone who says a 300 is junk should come out to wa and race me. I have a 300 that will wear out a big block any day. This is a great motor to build if your looking for gobs of torque. My truck tips the scales at 4400 lbs and still wipes out most cars on the road. These engines aren't cheap for racing since almost no performance parts are made for it but if you have the time and patients they are worth the investment
