Hello ford guru's.I have a 82 2.3l engine been bored .080 over block has been decked.Runnin a 2.0l head on it [for lots of bottom end torque].Fuel is propane.

The motor is in a 87 samurai,basicly a wheelin rig trailer queen.
Ive picked up an 881/2 roller cam 2.3l head that i will be going through.Im converting this rig to a stretched wheelbase 4 link desert thrasher.So naturally I want more power out of the motor.Since my 2.0l head is been shaved to 13:1 compression im going for the 2.3l roller head cause I would like to put a turbo on the motor.Thinkin somthing more like 9.5:1 would be better for a turbo setup.

Now you have an idea what I have and what I want.

Im not wanting tons of boost and minimal turbo lag so im thinkin a small turbo would be best[spool up quicker]cause I will still use it for mountain trail wheelin also.I have a turbo off a geo metro do you think this would work out on the 2.3? would the smaller throat on this turbo struggle to get enough air to do what it needs for this larger displacement engine?

A turbo off of a geo metro huh? Thats a first for me. It must be aftermarket turbo setup. It sounds like a T25 turbo is what you would want. On a small intercooler setup I reach full boost around 2.5k rpms and thats running 7psi on my small 2L protege.

You will have to keep in mind that you will have to run pre fuel and I'm not sure how you would go about tuning on a carb engine. Also keep in mind on a crappy tune the motor can pop even at low psi. It really depends on the tune and strenght of your rods.
