On the top of the rocker panel when you open the door and step up to get in the truck there is a piece of black molded plastic which protects the paint from getting scraped by your shoes (it looks like its a stick on item). It is only on the panel near the front, back near the seat there is nothing, I keep dangling my seat belt and getting it caught when I close the door. Consequently I keep scratching the paint and wanted to put another of the black covers on behind the original. The local Ford dealer can't find them and I can't find them on the internet, got any idears?

I've got these Step Shields made by AVS (Auto Vent Shade).As a matter of fact that was the first mod I did to my truck when I bought it in March of 06.That pic is old because my step bars have been off for a long time.

I'm having the same problem with my truck. Those sill protectors look really good. I was looking at AVS's site, but I cannot seem to find them. Are they the universal ones? Or a specific part number (like #91907)?

 

They have a specific part#. But it was nearly 3 years ago when I bought them so I don't know the part #.

 

they make those stick on pieces....i've bought them at the local dealership...but its been like 3 years since i did.....
