So far, an awesome build! I'd love to have the coin to drop on something like this.

First 2011 update

This Currie 9+ race case looks damn horny under there. 3.250'' carrier bearings, large bearing pinion support, chromoly axles, 1350 u-joints

Wheel dollies are under the tires now, rolling chassis, no more jackstands!

Hopefully I can give a steady pic update once a week, but I'm not promising myself.

I have Lakewood traction bars, but they are going to need a bit of adjustment for proper fit, so I am going to wait until there is some weight back there for proper clearances under the spring eye.

Somehow, I managed to miss 2-3 pages in the middle. I had to read back from the start, just to make sure I didn't miss anything.
Looking nice!

I agree, this will be so much better than "new". New stuff has too many electronic gizmo's to cause problems down the road.....

Nice work. I have a question though. I have been thinking of getting that exact gas tank. Is there any room for there to be a tow hitch there? My truck has one welded to the frame and I dont want to buy it and it not fitting haha.

It should fit, but don't take my 100% word. I have a hitch and was going to install it - if I did install it, it would've have to have been done before the fuel tank was dropped in. I'm not doing a hitch no more since I dropped the rear 2" and my 295's stick out past my wheel arch lip and trailer weight would most likely lead to me shredding tires - instead of burning them

I managed to start and nit pick at several small projects including running prebent stainless brake and fuel lines, rebuilt p/s pump, driveshaft measurements....
I also laid out the exhaust last weekend, this weekend I cut and welded it. I rank it pretty high on the accomplishment list, and managed to finish it in one shot unlike the smaller tasks

I would've preferred to route it after the wheels but the 38gal fuel tank would've had it sitting too low.

For the record, the exhaust is on center, its the engine/driveline offset to the pinion that is off.

Old v. New

No hangers yet until I see where my driveshaft safety loops end up, but the jackstands are shimming it up to the right height. I measured and re-measured numerous times and it finished up near perfectly square and true. I'm happy with the paint too. I can't wait to hear it !!

Nice! I'm guessing that the 38 gallon tank behind the axle is allowing the deletion of the forward tank, that usually interferes with running exhaust down the left side.
I like the remote control cutouts.......

Thanks!, and correct - I was running 16 before axle, 19 after earlier. 38gal is enough with one.

Too excited when I posted earlier:
- Flowmaster U-fit 3'' kit, 50 Series SUV mufflers, 12'' rolled tips (to install once bed is on for right depth)
- Jegs X-pipe kit with cutout provisions
- Doug's Headers cutouts
