I just finished putting together something for Cruise Night. We (NAPA) has always sponsored the Race at the Drag Strip on Cruise Weekend and this year we got a group of some NAPA Stores (Kearney, Minden, Hastings, Aurora, Grand Island, Cairo, Ord, St. Paul and Central City) together and we all put money toward the purse for the race. It will be a nice amount of $$$$ and it will be for Top Comp Cars. The cars in the finals will be running around 6.5 Second Quarters at well over 200 mph. These are really fun to watch and they put on a great show! Its enough cash that I think we will be pulling cars from Denver, Omaha, Kansas City along with from all around the area. So if your a Straight Line Racing Fan it should be a Great Weekend at the Track.

 

That sounds like a good time to me. Its been a long time since ive been out to KRP, I may have to go and check it out.

 

Sounds pretty cool George! Are you going to try and make it out to the drags this year? I know last year you were a little, shall we say wore out, from partying so late!!LOL

 

What can i say - Somone had to stay up till the early morning hours to keep an eye on the community! I would like to get out there this year - I think there will be some pretty fast cars to watch!

 

I wouldn't mind staying in Kearney for that. I'll have to wait and see. Good to see your "dedication" to the community......Or was it to the Bud Light you were swilling!!!

Id drink with ya Pat, but I am affraid that Im going to have to postpone till 2010 for that. Probabtion officer wouldnt like me participating in those activities.

yes, i guess its against the law to go have a few beers, then drive very fast, and then get accused that i was running from the police. BUT i will have my drivers liscense back BEFORE cruise night!!

one week b4 halloween, finially getting sentenced march 11th. long story short the officer loaded me up with a ton of other charges to make sure my dui stuck, even though i only blew a .098

 

o well. if thats the worst thing that ever happens to me i will be happy, im just ready to get it over with and BRING ON THE SUMMER!!!!!!
