From the junkyard, you will need coil buckets, bottom cups and retainers, radius arms and caps, and the track bar and mount. The best bet would be to drive to the junkyard, look at what a fairly complete F150 has, and what you don't have.
Yup, physically looking at it is the best way right now, to start with, I would just get the whole front-end, radius arms and all, Coil buckets etc.
You should be fine with stock @ 4" lift, any higher, you need to start changing radius-arms, driveshafts, brake lines and so on.
I have a frame from a 90 something 4x4 it has the coil buckets and shock mounts and radius arms The coil buckets have 1 bolt and then round revites to the frame. if I cut the revites that go to the frame and replace it with bolts could I put this on my truck? It also has the bottom cups.
Ok I have finally found what i hope to be the parts for this truck. I just wanted to get some opinions and some facts on whether or not this will work. What I found is a 79 F-100 4x4 parts truck on craigslist I was planning on taking off the radius arms, coil buckets, coils, front sping lower seat, front spring lower mount radius arm caps, axle insulator, front spring upper mount, radius arm bushings with torque lock nut, and the draglink. What I am wondering is if these will be a direct swap. Here is the listing for any further questions. 1979 F100 (parting out)
Yep, from what I can tell that looks like a 2wd,,,, and 900 bones?!! 1979 FORD F-150 4X4
How much are you wanting to spend,,,, this has been on CL for a while,,,, maybe you could talk him down some and drive it home,,,
Sorry to stir up an old thread but I was wondering how progress was going on this... seemed to just die out. BTW I have a 79 150 parts truck with all the stock suspension if needed.
