Exclamation Need electrical help 1953 f100

I have 2 1956 f100s that will need wired, but before I do that---want to rewire from scratch my 1953 -that is 6volt and use an ezwire kit.
Any electricians out there that are close to Ashtabula area and want some work? I figure after New Years and give me a pm if interested.

You want my opinion? I 'll give it to you straight. If I was keeping one STOCK, I would buy the dennis carpenter wiring harness. They are a snap to install. They are premade, correct length, correct wire size. They are what the truck should have, they worked for 50 years so the original wiring must have been good for a while.

Here is the problem Bill,
There are going to be issues with switches, rubber grommets small nuts not comming apart. I've done 3 of them now, but they were apart and I could lube, service all components before I started assembly. Before its all said and done you will need more than a harness thats for sure.

Kevin Bigwin

PS I'll do it if you get the DC harness. $30.00 an hour, $40.00 an hour if you help! LOL

PSS where is the info for the NOS parts you were going to tell me about?

Thanks--will let you know asap.
The NOS guy is playing cat and mouse with me on the phone.
We have not been able to look at his parts on list what he has. There is alot!!
Soon as I can get in to his warehouse and list everything --you will be the ONLY one I call to check out what you want. I left a message yesterday again--if nothing is heard before New yrs--I will go over there and look around....he also has a panel truck and a big 51.....Bill

Just off the phone with Doug (D.Carp.) and he does not have complete kits.
He suggested QUICK WIRE and I called them and no problem.....on 53--convert to 12 volt. Once I like how this is---I will buy 2-3 kits for the 56s.
I will know after New yr day what I will do. Thanks
Bill

DC have individual harness, dash harness, headlight harness, tail light harness etc . I just looked thru the newest catalog 15 min ago. He is right no complete kit, just buy what you need.

Or use something like Photobucket and link it here. That way you can also link them other places too.

I have decided to wire my trucks all at once and have a guy(electrician) who used to work for me,and although older--still is a great guy.
I am ordering 1 kit for 1971 F100/ 1 kit for 1953-6volt-to 12 volt conversion/and 3 kits for my 3 1956 ford trucks.
So 5 kits and then in April -he will do all 5 at once.....at least start and wire each one at his own pace in my barn.
He is charging 100.00 bucks a truck...and has 35 yrs wiring experience. AND I will primer his 71 torino GT as a favor for the wiring help.
1500 -2000 bucks and all 5 will be rewired-mostly stock.
I hope he doesn't want me to help him....LOL
I dislike wiring.....big time....LOL
