windsheild trim removal help

Hi I have a 1985 f150 reg cab short bed 4x4 my windsheild stated leaking the other day and i need to know how to get the trim off around the windsheild without damaging it any help or tips is appreciated thanks in advance poorman

You need to get a tool to do it. The one I have looks like an arrow head. Harbor Freight carries them and two other tools in a pack for about $5 or so.

That tool works quite slick, What you do is get behind the clip that holds the trim, then move the tool to push the clip away from the cab frame, and the trim comes right off.

You can just slip a putty knife under the molding and pop it out.

I do it all the time and never have any problems.
