Doing my Exhaust Manifold gaskets

This weekend... What should i be in for? I know i can do this job.. But just trying to cover all my basses and ask questions now befor i go into it... 06- with a 5.4 in it.

Good luck. Mine's in the shop for a leak after they changed the engine. It's been there for 2 days now. Beleive it or not, they are jacking the engine loose.

Hey brother,

I believe you can do it, I'm just thinkin' it ain't gonna' be a leisurly Saturday job for ya'. I couldn't even get a socket or wrench combo on that right rear nut where my leak's at. Wear lots of deodarant, have plenty of beer in the fridge, and cigs if you smoke. Maybe there's a little more room on yours.

I knew you ment no harm by your post.. I do belive i can do this as well.. One good thing i have in my fav,is that my truck has a body lift on it and i have some pretty good room in there. So will se how it goes.

ORDERED my new gaskets today from napa.. 23.00 i went to ford and they wanted 60.00 the gaskets from napa are fel pro... used them in the past so i'll hope for the best...

Well was going to do the gaskets tomorrow but with a foot of snow coming I plow for someone i can't aford to have my truck apart... So looks like i will be starting it sunday afternoon... Hope all goes well..
