9 below this morning at 9:00 am. Wind chill was -32 below. OMG, you would thinke we all moved to North Dakota. It was 45 degrees in Anchorage, AK today. Glad I don't have to work outside in it. Took my dog(yellow lab) for a quick walk around the park, when we got back in the garage and I was taking my carharts off her teeth were chattering. That's cold.

Well...............I finally did it!!! yup....sure enough.
Bought me a "new" truck! Well, okay............."newer" truck.
My trusty little $#%^#box Escort finally rotted to pieces and I needed to replace it. Just last week I passed one of the many little car lots and saw a really nice '95 F150 supercarb shortbed. Got online and found it. V8/auto, two tone blue, alum wheels, cruise/tilt/ac, loaded up nice with 74K miles. Got it for $3900. I called my buddy who sells cars on the side, he got the fellow to wholesale it to him and then I bought it from my friend for wholesale price. Presto-chango! Originally was priced at $4888. Should get title today yet and then start tinkering and adding frills to it.
Gunno steal the remote start from Escort and put it on, plus CB, stereo, cut off that stock exhaust so it makes some NOISE!! Gawd I've missed driving a real truck daily, so I'm pretty excited. Surely miss that 30mpg, but with gas at a reasonable price lately I think I'll survive a while. Likely patch up the Escort and keep it around for a short while, but not sure yet. Not going to work out in the cold that's for sure. Right now it needs rear strut towers rebuilt.
I'll get some pics posted this weekend.
