Exclamation New RPM/MPH & Tire Size/Gearing Calculators on RHN

Hey strangers...I've been busy as heck the last couple of weeks between the holidays, driving & sleeping , and website work...sorry for not contributing more.

Lately, I have spent some time developing three calculators that you might find useful at some point.

1. an RPM calculator for the 4R100 transmission

You enter (in the yellow boxes):
  • your rear axle ratio
  • your tire width (mm)
  • your tire aspect ratio
  • your tire size (inches)
  • the desired speed which you want to determine RPM for
The calculator will return:
  • your RPM in each gear of the transmission
2. an MPH calculator for the 4R100 transmission

You enter (in the yellow boxes):
  • your rear axle ratio
  • your tire width (mm)
  • your tire aspect ratio
  • your tire size (inches)
  • the desired RPM which you want to determine MPH for
The calculator will return:
  • your MPH in each gear of the transmission
3. a tire size/gearing calculator

You enter (in the yellow boxes):
  • your current and new tire sizes (width, aspect & size)
The calculator will return:
  • current/new tire sidewall height (inches)
  • current/new tire radius (inches)
  • current/new tire diameter
  • current/new tire circumference
  • current/new tire width
  • current/new tire revolutions per mile
  • the differences for all the above (inches & percentage)
  • the changes in speedometer reading from 20 to 100 mph
  • the engine RPM's for gear ratio's from 2.35 - 5.13 @ 65 MPH with the new tires
The link is located on the 7.3RHN website, on the Guides, Maintenance & Mods page (at the bottom of the Guides subsection). I suspect that someone will find some errors, so PM me if you do and I will work on fixing them. I hope you find the calculators useful.

I've redone the tire and gearing calculator (page 3). It now will compare your current tires against stock (265x75-16) and against any other size tire you might like to enter.
