oh this is going to be bad. i've got to get back out of the adirondacks this weekend to albany. all the snow isn't going to help any. that, and i need to visit the car wash while i'm there this weekend. need to get all that nasty salt off, i still don't want a rust bucket!

Ryan good to see you. I agree on the rust bucket aspect. Last spring I found a small spot on my truck that I just did not have a chance to get it taken care of so on Sunday with the temps. being below freezing, I went and washed the truck and the wife's Edge. At least this way, I can say that I got all of the crud off from them.

Be safe out there over the next several days due to the weather.

Hey Carl.... as Pat mentioned be careful and make sure to salt enough for Sas to be able to poop !!! Maybe the margarietta salt that SoCal Steve is sending will arrive shortly.

Most of the Rochester area schools are open, but several in my area are on 2 hour delays and a couple of them are closed. The roads are in really good shape except for some pretty slushy spots that if you are not paying attention can suck you off the road.

All kidding from lastnight aside....I can't use salt here. I did one time and it burned Sas's feet horribly. I washed em for 2 hrs before she'd walk on 'em again. Her crying made me feel like jumping in front of a train.

We started out 2hrs late..but in come the freezing crap. Most of about 5 co.'s worth of schools now shut down.

Yeah Carl, I do know what you mean about using salt and dog's paws. I have not had any issues with my pups, but then I only salt when it is absolutely neccessary..... and then it is very sparingly.

What is more fun is when I built my deck, I included a ramp for the dogs so that they can go down into the pen. Before you ask, my deck is about 8' off the ground on on side and about 3' on the other. At times the ramp can get very icy and it is fun watching them go down it because we will not salt it becasue of the burning paws issues.

Sassy had a similar "slide" last winter at my neighbors..wheel chair ramp iced over....butt over head. I tried not to laugh, failed miserably
