Bak Flip G2 Tonneau

Does anyone have the G2 Bak Flip Tonneau cover on their 04+ F 150? I can get a pretty solid deal on one locally, and was wondering the thoughts on this tonnaeu before sinking the cash into it?

I really like the Extang Solid Fold, but the Bak Flip looks very similar and is much cheaper in this case. Anyone have one installed and have anything to say about it? Thanks

Cory

I dont have one (bought an Extang Trifecta the other day) because of the price but there are a couple people on here that have one and love it. It looks like an awesome cover, just to pricey for me. Try a search for it, someone on here has pictures of it on their truck.

I don't have one but I plan on getting one if I buy a 2010 F150. There's a few guys on another forum I visit that they seem to really like it.

I have the Advance 2-panel folding cover right now and like it. It is a similar type of material and design. But I like how the Bakflip G2 is more flush with the bed rails and folds all the way up to the window so you don't have to take it off when hauling big items.

Make sure it is the G2 version because I think they improved a few things vs. the original version.

I've had one for about 8 month now, I like it.
Low profile easy to open and fold.
I would say it's water resisent not water prof.
If you have a leveling kit on your truck like mine I don't think theres enough fall to let the water drain like it's designed to.
Still like it though.

So what makes the new HD better than the G2 besides the optional rack system? And the HD is a few hundred dollars more too?

I've got the G2 installed on my truck. Installed it last month and love it. A lot better than the factory cover I had on my truck. I can open just one panel, or two, or all three and have complete access to my truck. Everything stays pretty dry and I like the fact that everything can get locked in with my tailgate (no access to anything underneath the cover). So far, this is one of the best accessories I've gotten for my truck yet.

The HD version allows for more weight to be carried on top of the cover.

G2 can carry 300 lbs evenly spread.

HD can carry 500 lbs evenly spread.

Also, the panels on the G2 are made out of plastic and the panels on the HD are made out of Aluminum.
