212 code - Loss of input to PCM or Spout circuit grounded
Gents,
I have a 1995 F150 5.0L (302) that is coming up with a 212 fault - I had the ICM tested it failed and replaced. I still have the 212 fault - started troubleshooting the wiring per Haynes, but I cannot find a pinout diagram for the PCM (EEC IV ) Connector. Pulled the connector off the computer and there are 3 rows of Pins - no indication of the numbering.
Does anyone happen to have a secret decoder ring for the connector? any hints on other potential areas to look?
Appreciate any and all input
Pat

Was the TFI module replaced recently? If so did you get one that was the same color as the old one, the black and grey modules cannot be interchanged.
The Spout signal goes from the TFI module to EEC pin 36 via the spout plug(the one you remove to set the timing), make sure this is present and the pins are not broken off.

Problem resolved - had wrong TFI installed -
after buzzing out the wires - found car had pin 4 going to pin 4 of computer - which is for the CCD TFI type not the pushstart TFI
apparently truck will run with wrong type, but will intermittenly flag a 212 fault.
New TFI installed fault memory cleared and all appears well.
Thanks again for the help - would never have resolved without the computer pinouts.
