I'm planning on buying a new superduty in the next month or so and I want to know the pro's and con's of buying th 5.4L over the 6.8L?

Any Input?

This post should give you an idea of 'our' opinion of the 5.4L in the Super Duty.

My $0.02 is that if you are going to buy new off the lot, pay the few extra $100 and get the V10. However, if you are looking for one used, do like I did, find the first clean, well maintained gasser, at the right price and buy it regardless of what engine it has in it. I've never owned either the 5.4L or the Super Duty before this truck (Drove an F-150 w/300 inline 6 for 13 years and Rangers before that) and I have to say I'm THRILLED. But that's just me.

As just a grocery getter, or to haul a quad, or tow a light boat say a 5.4 is great.

If you plan to tow any amount, why not spend another 500 dollars and get he V10.

Both are reliable, time proven motors.
