Exclamation 06 F-150 Supercab Power Window Question

Hi, I have a 2006 F-150 Subercab 4.6 XLT. When I bought (used) I began to have problems with the driver side window. At first it seemed like I was not getting a good connection on the window switch, so I replaced that today after installing the new switch the window is still doing to the same thing.

When I roll window down it goes down fine, when i roll it up it is kinda sluggish and it stop's half way up. I then wait a few secconds and push the button again and it is sluggish at first and then zips right up like it is suppose to do. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.!

My drivers window does the same thing. I'm wondering if Ford used crappy motors?

Did you check the motor itself and connections to the motor.

Open your door up and see if you can find issues with the window tracks and slides (not sure if those are the right names). An electrical motor may have weak spots, but you wont have a repeatable spot where the window hangs up. Don't forget to look at the weather strip guides too.

Dealers like to spray silicon lubricant all over the tracks and all. Be warned that if this stuff makes contact with any weatherstripping that contacts the glass, you'll never get the crap off. We learned this the hard way with our 04 Expy.
