Emerg. brake and ABS lights on.

Last week when coming to a stop my emergency brake light and ABS light on the dash both came on. The truck stopped fine. I was able for the next day or so to get the emergency brake light to come off by normal driving and ABS light would turn off on next start of truck if the emergency light was off as well. However, lately the emergency brak light stays on thus so does the ABs light. The emergency brake is not on, have checked and there is no resistance when coming from stop. I did have a problem with the brake sticking a while back and was able to release the break by wiggling the cable at the drums. Is this a indication that the shoes are worn too far from the previous brake stick or just a bumped sensor?? Thanks for your help!!

Check out what I experienced with my parking brake cables and rear parking brake replacement at this link, I'll bet your brake cable and the actuator mechanism arm (on the drum itself) is rusted and binding up. I found that the springs a the end of the two cables (where they attach to the drum) got really warn and lost their spring tightness, and eventually, the cables corroded and broke. For the ABS light, you might want to check the sensor that sits on top of the differential, it's a common failure item that's easy to replace and the part is available at places like Autozone. I replaced mine and the light went away. Here's my post about the parking brake stuff, hope it helps:

First make sure you check your brake fluid is topped up. Next unplug the wiring connector at the master cylinder and clean the contacts (spray can of electrical contact cleaner good for this). Reconnect the plug. See if that helps.

Well, it was the brake fluid being low which caused the problem and I feel like a total newbie for not checking that first thing. Thanks all for the assistance!!!
