Pics 66 F100

Here are some pics of my current project. 1966 F100 Short bed. I took almost all of the interior out. Going to paint and put new interior. Not sure how soon but I will post those pics when that happens (Have a wedding coming up so probably won't be soon...LOL).

CC dash pad and chrome, but no side trim? Couldn't make out any holes, did you take it off? Body looks fairly straight. Care to share what you have planned other than welding? Engine, trans, color, etc...

I'm not too sure about the side trim. I bought it off a friend and the the body was already in the shape it is now. There aren't any holes that look like they were covered up from the trim (Although I want to put the trim on the truck).

As for the colors, I am still debating but I am leaning towards black interior with a silver exterior. That's not for sure, but just an option. It has a 352 4-speed in it right now.

Drof46- Where did you pick up the billet gauge panel on your '64? I am looking for one but haven't had much luck. Thanks

Side mouldings were an option on both Custom and Standard Cabs, they did not come as part of the Custom Cab package.

The chrome front bumper was also a stand alone option. It didn't come with the Custom Cab package, either.

The one my Grandpa bought new in 66 (same color BTW) had a padded dash with no custom cab trim either. So far, the only 66 I have ever seen with all of the factory trim options was the truck my brother built from it later on.

There is always at least a few options missing in the factory CC's for some reason. I guess thats what made them custom.

My 66 dash is plastic as far as I can tell. If your looking at the 64, it was chrome plated metal that came that way. There is a company that makes a replacement dash, but I got a new computer and lost all my favorites saved on the old one. There is also a company that makes a guage cluster for broncos that is all digital and looks very similar to the round guage cluster in 64s.

Thanks for the info on the custom cabs ND. I think my 66 has almost everything, except the door pockets I've seen. I got lucky and also have the tire rack in the back.
