I got a really good deal on my '06 that I bought in September. I paid just under $17k for it and it had a little over 21k miles on it. It's a 2WD which will bring the price down a little, but it still was a great price.

Thats how mine was....1 year old and 20,000 miles on it. Almost half price of a new one. I will never buy a new vehicle unless I win the lottery. You lose so much when you drive it off the lot for the first time.

My biggest V10 problem is getting someone to work on it.
My biggest V10 problem is getting someone to work on it. I have a 98 E350 van with a V10. I need someone to change the spark plugs. I have a thread on the subject...
No I did not go to the dealer. I heard bad things about the local dealer and figure they will want a fortune to fix it. I'm retired, fixed income, don't have a fortune to spend on it...

I bought my 04' new and only considered buying new because I'm going to have my current truck well over 10 years. Can get smoking deals on used trucks which is what makes them worth looking at especially if they have low miles. Buying new is great but buying a brand new or even used vehicle every couple years is downright stupid to me. Made more sense many many years ago.

One thing I noticed is people tend to hold onto the v10s. If you look at the folks here a lot of us have had the same truck for a while.
My biggest problem is that if I am trying I cannot break the rear tires loose except sometimes when I really want her to dig in and go fast (trying to make a left in front of traffic for example) I hit the pedal just right and the tires start spinning! If I just floor it it digs in and goes but if you have a hesitation sort of get on let off and hit it I think the drive by wire gets confused. Funny thing is I cannot duplicate it at will it has to be timed just right,
