New wheels?/ Big Lift?/ Great deal/ Opinions

Okay the CFO has found it in her heart to share her year end bonus. I got some options here so please help if you can.

#1) DR7" lift w/res shocks and trac bars ( $2k plus a PA road trip)

#2) Greg Weld Wheels 18x10 (5 wheels w/supercap kit and lugs $850)
Impact Series :: Greg Weld Design

#3) USA Forged wheels 18x9 505 Marauder in Black (5 wheels $1275)
USA Forged (The page doesn't show the black ones or the new sizes)

I can't decide which way to go with the truck. More altitude, new wheels. I'll probally be sticking with 12.5" tires for the future, but the 9-10" wheels should handle the next wider tires (13.5") if I go back to that size. The Weld wheels I have now will work with the 12.5" tires and the lift is a premium kit.

What to do?

I've put 14" wide tires on 8" wide wheels, they were 36" tall and had some donut to them, but they ran fine. I'd say get the lift if your wanting to run big tires in the future, so you only buy the tires once.

I would go with the lift, then later on if you decide to go with the biggest and baddest tires and wheels all you have to do is watch the tire shop install them after their paid for.

By the way good choice on the Marauder wheels, I bet they are killer wheels in black.

Hope you guys don't mind me sneaking over here from the Excursion page.

Are you going to run around with a 7" lift and your current wheels and tires, or throw in your own money anyway to get new tires too? Won't it look a bit silly with such a lift and the current tires?

You are more than welcome in my book.

Some very good points have been made...tax time may prove the time for tires and wheels. I'd run the 7" on what I have now till I got the additional funds. I have seen a few 7" lifts with 35's and it doesn't seem to bad to run.
