Jeff and I got to meet today after finding out we both have 56 ford trucks,and he came over and another guy just left after buying a 56 seat off me and headin home....along comes Jeff,and he has alot of plans for his Ford!!

I have not ever met a guy on this FTE that didn't turn out to be a good dude,and Jeff is a good dude.
I hope we can help each other out and keep a helping hand for each other.
I hope to meet Slappysdump this week too......he has a nice 53 panel truck.

Anyway-we need to post on here more and get this site moving along. Ohio guys are tough and they have tough trucks!!
Been driving the 53 most every day,and only problem is crap in my tank getting clogged. I am thinking I will drain and clean the tank....wish it was in the cab -like a 56.
Might buy a plastic tank and install from mid-50s.
Just want a reliable parts getter and it looks real cool.

My nephew is coming and I made him promise to teach me the way to post pics and even if it takes ALL day....in exchange---I am masking and priming his pickup!!!Bill

I see gas is starting to slip back up to $2/gal. Sure would like to be able to run the hot rods more this summer. Maybe actually meet up with some of you guys.

 

I have been driving the 53 alot and always get a lot of thumbs up!! Some guy said--why am I driving it in the winter?
I told him---I have a whole fleet at home and this is my shop-truck.....haha

I also saw the same panel truck today that I saw last winter. IT IS SOLID,but some rust is here and there,and he had the inside full of wood skids,for weight. LOL
I might offer to buy it,if he will stop long enough. It looks all stock and idles nice.
I hope it is a 223---cause I have enough yblocks,and the 223 in my 53 runs darn good.

Funny seeing 2 ole 50 plus yr old trucks on the road in Ohio in the winter.LOL
