Thnx for the heads up on the need for 25 posts. I dont want to junk things up so I will attempt to find something constructive to say in the various forums.

Yeah the 3.73s hurt and load the engine down a lot. Can't wait till I can get the cash together to swap to 4:30s and some decent diffs on my truck.

I had an interesting & informative conversation with Pocono on the phone. Our sets ups are pretty identical with the major difference being he has a 4.10 rear end vs. my 3.73. He runs about 500RPMs more than I at about the same speeds and our MPG is pretty much the same. I would have thought with the higher RPM’s there would have been a greater difference in MPG. Regardless, it sounds like the use of the speed control is not recommended when hauling the camper and Overdrive gets turned off on hills.

He should not run more than 200 rpm more in OD with his 4:10s vs your 3:73s. (If same tire dia is used)
