What is the proper or best way to plumb an auxiliary "L" tank?

Good one cOOn! I got it. Yes, it is the type putz describes. Do you plumb a vent and return line? Or just let it gravity feed into the filler neck tube?

The best way to do it is to put in a pick-up tube, a return, a vent, a gauge sending unit and a 6 port pollak valve. That way you can select any tank and gauge from in the cab by just flipping a switch.

Do not fill by gravity thru the filler neck. It will over flow. Rodney said it best. I have an auxilary tank in mine but I have a pump in it so I can fill the taks when I need but I have to get out to do it. Not plumbed into the fuel lines. That way I can legally buy red fuel and illegally burn it. LOL
