Me neither but then I don`t find Motor Trend to be all that trust worthy in most cases!

true enough. i've noticed that many other reviews have been in favor of the '09 F150 even though it ranks as the lowest in HP output. people are a little hung up on that issue, overlooking the fact that its still the most capable 1/2 ton truck out there!!!

I can still see why the lack of power (compared to others) is a big deal to alot of people.

Its like getting the fanciest lincoln out there, paying a good dollar for it, then it coming without leather seats, or with cheap canadian tire tires on it!

No real surprise that the f150 is out on top.

But did i read, or hear somewhere that the new chevy/gmc is top in initial quality? (not sure if that matters or not haha)

All those magazines are the same, whether it be truck, snowmobile, whatever of the year -- its usually the newest model that scores the highest then they find flaws/faults with it later on down the road!

Morris, to qualify for M/T's Truck (or Car) of the Year, the vehicle must be all new or significantly improved.

Aren't the Chevy/GMC's the same trucks as they were in 2007? If so, they do not qualify.

They are ALL CAPABLE. The truck has been so refined over the years that things such as more power does make a difference in trying to sell trucks. That and little things such as tailgate steps, backup cameras, and who has the biggest backseat are aspects that win cheesy awards like this.

I think your right Bill, I`m not into MT but I seem to remember something like that now that your mention it.
