Hello all..Is there a good thread on how to change the glow plugs on a 6.0. I changed the relay and that did not solve the problem of cold starts. When i plug it in she starts like the dream machine she is...Any help would be great...

 

Go to the dealer and get flashed before you change the glow plugs.

 

Did that help your...Not wanting to start for the first couple of times then shaking and "coughing"..

What oil do you use and how often is it changed?

 

Bismic that is a question that should be posted on top of the 6.0l forum. This is the most finikey motor for oil that I have ever heard of.

 

brickie, how do you like those EconoMax injectors and how much mileage did you gain with them?

 

These injectors are great I haven't had a hint of stiction since I put them in. The milage with a custom ASE tune gives very untruck like milage. The last tank was mixed 50/50 city highway and hubs locked 19+ mpg. The only tune that will give that kind of milage is that ASE,on most others excluding ultra comp and heavy tow with the same driving gives 17. That is a couple with the injectors alone and a couple more with the ASE.So I am lovin it!
