Oops...you are right, Tim. I checked the specifications on this website and '05 gets the 3V 5.4 only. Makes sense in terms of weight and towing specs. I assume the next Expy redo will offer the EcoBoost, maybe the 5.0 as a base engine(?)

So if all '05 Expys had the sticking-plug 5.4, it's clear that that they would throw up a red flag on resale.

I don't dolt over any maker in particular, but.. I had a 93 ranger 3.0 that went 438000 before it died, a 96 ranger 2.0 that I used like an F250 4X4 that I killed at 283000. I can't complain at all, worked both to death. Still have 96 runs on 1.4 cylinder good for around yard. Bought n love my 2 door 96 explorer 4.0 last week, have a 64 Galaxie 500 project, and 64 F100 project, and 64 Dodge dart GT convertible....I will forever be a FoMo, and Mopar fan, besides the two are distant cousins once removed...lol
