Stock bolt pattern? That might limit your choices somewhat? With much effort you will find charts on the net with offsets and dimensions, also many suppliers have catalogues with info. My personal choice (this week) is the steel painted (or powdered coated) smoothie in truck or contrasting color, or much easier/cheaper to do is the chrome smoothie.

I definately have both wheels and tires on my truck - 4 of each of them!!!!! I tried driving without one once but it made a lot of sparks so I definately recommend you don't try that!

Honestly, I have 1/2 ton fenders and a standard axel, so I don't have any good advice. I just wanted to bump this back up to the top so you could get some more help!

Good Luck,
Julie

Hey Fish, are you by any chance running stock 16" stock wheels? I have later-model ('70's) F-150 15"ers, am considering going to stock 16". Let me know if you want to unload some old stockers.

Try Stockton Wheel. They have a killer website with a form to fill out with measurements so that you can get the right setback the first try. Good luck, Jag Stockton Wheel Service - Custome Wheels

If you want to see what 15x8's (or they might be 15x7) look like I have a set of slotted mag wheels with tires mounted that you can borrow to trial fit.

I will probably put the slotted mags back on my truck eventually as the chrome is peeling on my Cragars.

If you want to play with them let me know.

Cool, just drop me a line if you want to try them

The 16's would probably fill up your larger fenders better....depending on the tire choice. I have a set of P235/15 radials in the shed that I will eventually mount on the slotted mag wheels and put on my truck. Right now I'm in the process of wearing out the bias ply tires that are mounted on my Cragars.

Go to the Les Schwab website and enter the "Virtual Wheels" section. For example, I can go to my '53 F-100, select "standard" (vs. "panel"). Then you can play with all different kinds of wheel types and sizes, even change the pickup color to see what that looks like. Hours of fun!
