I want to get a new HU that an Ipod will plug into and have some preouts for a sub. I have been eyeballing the Kenwood producs double din touch screens like the ddx512 and the 712, the only thing I don't like is the price $600-$800
so I have thought about a single din, cd reciver, no dvd, I can get a fairly loaded one for less the $200 and what I would save would pay for the rest of my system. so if I did do this would I regret not getting the better HU down the road, and will the single din look real out of place in that big hole?

 

the single din deck does not look out of place, mine has a pocket under the deck. depending on if you use all the options on the kenwood double din. it i have a jvc kd-avx2 deck which is dvd with a 3.5 screen makes good hu that i have added extra screens too etc. i use everything it has to offer but wish it would have had gps too, but it's getting old now had it for almost 3 years. if it was me i would get the better one or wait if you had too to get it. i would regret getting the cheaper one and it would be pretty much a waste of money in the end because eventually i would buy the good one.

I would NOT recommend them at all! Have purchased their connected truck package and have regretted it. They could never get it to work as advertised, told me they had invested to much time in trying to get everything to work and wrote me off.
