I am looking to buy a Van and came across a 1997 E350 V10 Super Duty Chateau Van and am a little confused when looking up the price on KBB.com
Seller says it has the following:
- Fuel injected V10 (EPA 13 city/18 hwy mpg)
- Automatic overdrive transmission
- Super duty chassis and brakes w/ ABS
- Dual air bags
- Front and rear AC
- Quad seating up front w/ 3rd row bench seat (seats 7)
- Power windows/mirrors/locks
- Cruise control
- AM/FM/cassette stereo
- Privacy glass
- Tow package w/ electric brake controller
- Running boards
- Black/silver exterior w/ gray cloth interior
- 114,000 miles
When I go on KBB and check Chateau Van do I still check all the features he listed? Reason I am asking is because didn't all Chateau Vans come with most of those features standard such as the tow package, rear ac, and quad seating? Which would mean that they are already built into to price when checking the Chateau box so by adding them again it is adding them twice?
Chateau with all listed options checked $5235
Chateau without options $4070
My 01 Chateau V-10 did not come with the tow package or leather seats. I know there were other options such as step bumpers and upgraded stereo packages. You will love the V-10 on the highway or when towing. When I drive easy I get up to 17 mpg Hwy. Watch out for bad coil packs and blown out plugs. Carry a coil and a plug thread repair kit in the van and torque the plugs periodically to help prevent blow outs.
Help!?!
I am trying to install a 4th row 3 passenger seat. I have the seat and floor brackets and have the shoulder belts installed but see no holes in the floor to mount the seat brackets. Anyone have experience with this? My factory manuals offer no help.
Maybe try XLT and the options to see if Chateau adds to it?

Want to be more confused? Also try NADA & Edmonds. Keep in mind that 10 YO vehicles w/100+K are in many ways off the charts & condition becomes more important.
