Still Ford, but a little off topic
Thanksgiving weekend I began restoring my Dad's 1946 Ford 2N tractor. It has not run since the mid 70's but it has been in dry storage. It is in great shape for it's age. If you have interest I started a website to keep my family and friends up to date. You guys are certainly part of that group!
Several pictures in the gallery on the website.

Great Story and great tractor, but I like the 8N better. And that is because my Dad had a '48 8N he got new and I drove it lots and lots. Wish I had it now, but don;t live in the country and have no place or use for it. Wish my brother had it. He bought my parents farm and has room for it....

Slick looking new tractor, but I wish they's spent more time on the mechanicals instead of the red seat. Since we're hijacking Walston's thread, here's the real deal Ford tractor 4x4. I've posted this before, but it's worth another view. It's an Elenco conversion, and a guy named Tony Jacobs owns the rights to the system and is remaking them. Stu

I bought a '49 8N for my kids about 6-7 years ago. It had to be a Ford so it would fit in with my trucks. It was in pretty nice shape. We bought it at a farm auction of a bachelor farmer that kept everything on the farm looking like new. It didn't need anything mechanically but needed a paint job so I took it apart, blasted it, repaired some minor rust and painted it.
We bought it so the kids could use it around the farm. We still use it for light farm hauling and other odd jobs.
