There some neat stuff in there but there also lots of backyard mechanics like converting combines into light duty loader work, using combines for mounting
large grain augers-10'' by 50 ft sort of thing. As well as converting old school buses for hauling round bales, making odd ball wood splitters, re powering old pick ups with funky diesel engines, etc.
Sort of neat but not that interesting after awhile plus I think it only comes out every two months or so, that`s too far apart between issuses.

Just read the book about the two men that started and ran Versatile so successfully. Great book, written by the grandson of Peter Pakosh. Got the book from the library. Detailed account of how they started, products they designed...the big 8 wheel drive tractor...Big Roy, named after one of the co-founders...Roy Robinson.

Glen Tall Trenching, a company that plows in rural gas lines has a large US army 4 wheel drive tractor, it seems huge and pretty much takes the place of a track Caterpillar.
Our water line was plowed using 3 and at times 4 large Caterpillars hooked together.

According to the book...Big Roy is 26 tons...600 hp, 19 liter Cummins diesel...2100 liter fuel tank...8 wheel drive is on display at the Manitoba Agricultural Museum in Austin, Mb.

The book was published in 2003...so I'm not sure if Big Roy is still there, have to check .
