Hooking up in bed aux fuel tank

I have a 2004 Ford F-250 V-10.

I bought the Northern Tool 91 gallon aux fuel tank/toolbox combo. My Father is hooking it up since I am overseas right now. He is having trouble hooking it up to my main fuel tank. The local machanic told him I won't be able to hook it up to my main tank since the main tank is pressurized and the aux fuel tank is not pressurized.

I saw a lot of people here have the same aux fuel tank. Could someone please tell me how the hooked it up to their main fuel tank. Also part numbers for any parts I will need and where you bought it from would also be helpful. Thanks in advance. Wayne

Well most manufactures don't reccomend a aux tank for a gasser. You will probably have to have some kind of inline or intank pump. I have a 04 6.0 diesel with that tank. I bought an install kit from kshmarine.com It comes with a splitter valve that you would need to splice into the fuel lines. A sending unit that goes into the aux tank. Verry good instructions. It was less than $200 2 years ago. I didn't have to have a intank or inline pump with my diesel. It was an easy install. It took about 2 hours and a six pack. Had it in for 2 years with no problems.

I was hoping to connect the aux tank to my main tank. But the main tank is pressurized and the aux tank is not.

Is this a Chevy mechanic? I don't think the fuel tank on a gas engined Super Duty is pressurized.

This kit would work well, although you may need to change the hose so it will be compatible with the methanol in the gasoline.
