Hello all, a friend of mine has a 2000 F-150 standard transmission pickup. recently he has had issues with truck starting. About 1 month ago, truck would not start, so we had battery tested and it had a bad cell. Replaced battery and all is well till last week. No start at all. All interior and exterior lights come on. When key is on acc. position it has power. When you go to turn the key, dummy lights on dash come on, but no crank. The starter is not even trying to crank. New alternator 1 year ago. Where to start is the question? I have not looked at it aside from what ive told you. In the morning I will look at the starter solenoid and possibly the alternator. But I would asssume that at least a trickle of power would get through to make some kind of bump at the starter. Also, just thinking out loud, could it be a switch on the clutch which doesnt allow the truck to start without clutch depressed? Any and all comments is greatly appreciated in advance.

After starting the truck with a screwdriver across the solenoid posts we replaced the starter and starter solenoid. No start. The switch on the clutch works, and the battery is fine. Anyone have any advice?
The solenoid on the starter. autozone only had firewall mounted in stock and we couldnt find the starter mounted solenoid anywhere in town so he ended up buying the whole starter assembly and still no fix. Im going back over there tonight to look at his ignition switch. Thats about the only other thing I can think of.
