Question Dual oil filters

I am looking into possibly putting dual oil filters on my 2003 F-350 5.4 4x4, whats a good company to buy from that has good quality products. Any good or bad things you've experienced from having one? And have any pictures of your install?

I had a nice lengthy post all typed out and was adding pictures right when my computer decided to crash. This post might be a little shorter...

While I didn't install these parts on a modular truck, the part numbers and info all carries over. I'm running a remote mount oil filter on one of my cars. I used a Permacool spin-on adapter and Permacool filter mount, both of which I bought through Summit. The Summit part number for the spin-on adapter for Ford modular engines is PRM-118, and the part number for a dual filter mount (accepts two FL1A filters) is PRM-1221. On a relatively stock mod motor, -8AN lines are sufficient. I had to step up to -10AN lines in my case, as the -8AN lines were beginning to restrict flow. Here are a few pictures:

Spin-on adapter on the engine (taped up in this picture to keep any dust from getting into the engine):

Single filter mount with -10AN lines:

I have no complaints whatsoever with the Permacool pieces. I've been very happy with the whole setup.

In case you were wondering what this is in:

I have question for that oil filter.

Can I add another filter on it? Is 2 filters too much for this engine's oil pump?

I have 1 owner with 2001 F250 but can't believe he didn't change oil 20,000 miles overdue Now he call me say that engine tick loud. I immedity went there. It was low on oil but I have told him keep check but never did.

I do think 2 filters will help clean oil more better but not sure if it good idea?

Yes, you can run dual filters. Just use the part number for the filter mount that I listed above (that is the part number for a dual filter mount). I didn't see the need for a second filter in my case, not to mention that space is pretty limited on that car.

Nice set-up white max
This is off topic, but is there just the one lower bolt in the valve covers of the DOHC? My sister in-law has a 93 Mark VIII and it needs a set of gaskets after only 220,000 miles. The seals are leaking into the plug pockets. It the onlt blot is the front lower, then I can probably change them. That car is too tight to work on anything. I understand whey you moved the oil filter, major PITA even on a 2V Cougar. (Niece has one of those). I couldn't tell by the picture if there was a bolt in the rear bottom corner or not.

Yep, there is just the one lower bolt in the front corner of the valvecover on the 4V heads (10 bolts total per cover).

Cool, I may tackle the job then. I had to put a DPFE egr sensor on it and it is smashed between the head and firewall. What a pain!!
