Been calling around today trying to find the best deal on tires. I wasn't in a hurry until we got some snow this weekend and managed to put my truck in a ditch. Luckly I was only moving like 10mph and was near my house. No damage. My neighbor came along a few minutes later and pulled me out. Thank God he had a F250. I couldn't have lived with getting pulled out by a Chevy or Dodge!

Thanks Bill. It's been my baby for 20 yrs now. The color combo is just "IT". Love to get new paint on it as it's okay from 50ft, just as the sun goes down but getting hateful up close. Hasn't gotten done in the first 20 yrs, likely not going to in the next 20?

Kevin, watch turning that into your insurance. Was told before that "little" things like that will just get recovered from YOU in the long run. If you can pay now, probably cheaper.

I'm going to eat it myself and pay to get it fixed as I have a dent in the tail gate as well that I did pulling my tractor out of the mud and the chain broke and it hit the gate. So I waited and now that I have 2 things to fix I'll get them both done at once.

Always dings and dents from weird accidents and they always happen. I just fixed my daily driver from a chain that flung off--towing a 56 and thank God it didn't do more damage. NO PROBLEM--I already painted it and it matched real nice. Hard to do in this weather. Bill

Hey Monster-4

Speaking of tires I bought a new set of "take-offs" off ebay a few weeks back. They were the same size, brand , on the same alumin rims with centercaps, shipped to my door from CA all for $655.00

These are the 17" tires thats what my 05 f150 has on it.

I thought it was a good deal to have an extra set for winter.

Looked at that but most of the take-off that are for Super Duties are for the 2005+ model years and Ford changed the offset starting in 2005. I would need spacers to getting any of those wheels to fit right and I'm not much of a fan of doing that.
I found some good prices on the Goodyear Silent Armor Pro's I want so I'll probably go that route once the boss (i.e. wife) releases the funds.

Just a bump to the top, I've been burning alot of wood, should have enough for the winter. It seems like I burn more when I'm on the computer. I throw in a log , check my ebay, throw in another log, check FTE, throw in another log, look at some $#@& LOL

Ahhh, well.............. back on track here fellars.............

Got some headway on the Tbird on Sunday.
No more dash:

not much behind the seats either. Gunno do it all in alum.

It was done in sheetmetal originally when he cut it up, but now it's going to be a race car so LIGHT is the word of the day.

Over Christmas week, we'll make more headway as both of us are off work and should start getting the cage put in.
