Good one, I wouldn't thought of that one..

The shell is the same but hinges may be different? The door handles are the push-button type on the medium-duty trucks, also, but they should work.

The warranty/VIN plate has an interesting set of rivets attaching them to the door, and these can actually be removed with a little effort. The inside can be squeezed to release the entire plate without compromising the rivet itself.
I have a small piece of Stainless steel tube that fits over the rivet and squeezes the rivet. With a small tap, they pop right out. Then another small tap and they can be instaled into any door.
This eliminates a bunch of confusion and too much conversation when I get pulled over by the highway patrol, and the nice officer wants to know why the rivets look so new.
I have been delayed an even impounded once to clarify this problem. They thought I was gettin fancy with the VIN numbers. Took a few days to get the problem resolved and get my baby back. Still had to pay towing and storage too.
Talk about feeling violated. My baby had to spend a few nights in a cold and lonely towing yard.
Perhaps this is an isolated incident but now I have learned to use the factory fasteners.
Cant be too careful.
