Suspension differences between F350 SRW Lariat and FX4 2008-2009

Does anyone know what exactly the difference is between the suspensions on an F350 SRW Lariat and FX4 for 2008-2009?
IIRC, the FX4 comes with "Rancho-branded shocks" or something like that. I assume that means they are tuned to run stiffer to better absorb bumps and probably make for a stiffer ride on-road.
Any differences in springs or bushings or anything else?
Can we also assume that the "4x4 Off Road Pkg" puts these same FX4 components onto an XLT or Lariat?

IIRC (memory is slim on this) the Fx4 = Rancho shock and stabalizer + skid plate & metal tank plate. Other than that it's the same as the "off road" package.

I dont think Ford has put the branded shock on for years.... maybe differently valved shocks, but not Rancho branded. Past that.... there are no suspension differences, as bulldog stated. You can get the "skid plates" (which are really flimsy) with the off road package. Thats how I got my 08 Lariat. The real differences these days are trim and paint packages.

That's helps somewhat. I'd still like to know how different (if, at all) the off-road stuff is from what's on the XLT and Lariat.
Thanks

FX4 has become a trim level vs. equipment package. Pretty clear in the above post. Outside of that, I doubt there is any real difference between the functioning parts of FX4 vs. off road package. The rancho branded shocks are just that, they don't really make any difference.

The RANCHO shocks are actually Ford shocks dressed up hence the term "RANCHO branded".
