Thickness of 352 flywheel

Does someone know the thickness of a new flywheel for a 352? Trying to determine the minimum thickness and see if mine is worn as the clutch play is pretty far out.

Thanks

Jim

Jim, I just went through this. Had mine resurfaced for what I believe was the first time at just over 100,000 when I replaced the clutch (worn, oily). Are you finding insufficient adjustment under the truck? Here was my solution: I bought a section of all-thread and a threaded 'sleeve'. This may actually be a bit difficult as the threads on the original parts are fine thread, and most places only stock coarse. Thank you, well-stocked local hardware store. I cut a length of all-thread and used that between the fork 'pin' and the sleeve. Then threaded the eyelet rod from the Z bar into the other end of the sleeve. The sleeve winds up being longer than the length needed to take up the slack, so unfortunately the eyelet rod needs to be shortened. Not a real problem though, as the new arrangement gives you a ton of adjustment for later in life.

Thanks for the info, I went to Napa and got a heavy duty release bearing, it was a little thicker and wider with a zerk fitting and went to the local PNP and found a adjustment rod on a 68 which had a longer pencil or whatever it's called and was able to get it all back together.
