The rad support is 1 piece.. at least a new one is anyway.. so you're gonna have to take it all apart anyway. The rad support is attached to everything so you really have to strip the front of the truck to change it. That means the grill and all lights, bumper and trim, then you remove the washer/coolant containers and battery and tray, and then disconnect the rad from support but you don't have to remove the hoses or drain it. Now you can remove all the screws attaching the rad support to the fenders and chassis and pull it out.

bringin back an older thread...

i have a 96 F350 with a 351 that needs a new support. i'm hoping to find a good used original one. what donor trucks would work for me? i'd imagine it would have to be a 93-96/97 f series or bronco? is that true? does it matter what engine the donor truck has in it? thanks.

92 to 96 are the same. The diesel engine uses a slightly different support than the gassers.

so i've been looking the last couple of weeks for a good used support, but most around here (in CT) are in rough shape. i was hoping for an original, but i think i may have to start looking at aftermarket pieces. are all created equal? i don't want to buy one made with, cheap, thin metal, but i don't want to spend a fortune on one either...

who sells the best support?

aftermarket ones are fine. Just as good as the Original. Prep and paint it right and it will far outlast the original non painted one

i see ones on ebay for just over $100, and i see one listed with LMC truck for over $200.

i don't mind spending more money if the quality is higher. are all aftermarket pieces created equal?

LMC shows 189 in their paper catalog. And so does their online catalog. I would buy from LMC

I found 3 sources for 92-96 radiator supports:

eBay – $109 + $89 shipping
AutoKrafters - $180 + $100 shipping
LMC Truck - $190 + $48 shipping

So of these 3, I’ll go with LMC Truck. Before I order, anyone else have any opinions of these 3 suppliers? Any other suppliers I should be considering?

And I called my local carquest as suggested, but they didn't have a listing. If there a carquest part number you know of?

If you deal w a local bodyshop, ask them for price on one. That way you dont have to pay shipping
