2001 f350 rims 8 on 6.5 inch rims

can anybody tell me if ford used the same bolt pattern, 8 on 170 since the early 80's on all the f250 and f350?? have a set of older early 90's rims that i want to use for winter and they are 8 on 6.5 i believe and my truck is a 2001 f350. thanks.

No, the 8x170 bolt pattern was used exclusively on Superduties beginning in 1999 to the present. The 8x6.5 rims will not fit your truck, and rims off your 01 F-350 will not fit older Fords.

6.5" is only 165mm. You would have to drill the holes at least 10mm bigger for the studs to fit through. The lug nuts probably wouldnt seat properly. Probably not a good idea.

On top of what Laka said, you also have to consider that Superduty wheels are hub centric, the OBS trucks are lug centric. You won't be able to use the stock Superduty lug nuts to secure that wheel, assuming you were able to sucessfully drill out the mounting holes (which is something that most people would not recommend). So you would in essence have to go out and buy a new set of lug nuts that would fit the thread pitch, and would be compatible with lug centric wheels.
