Can i get a Dana 60 to a 5 bolt pattern? Probly dumb question! reason i ask is cause i bought a 79 doner truck to swap solid 44 front axle with my 91 short box. Both axles are 8 bolt and i want them both 5 on 51/2 so i can still run my mickey thompson rims. My plan is to switch the 460, c6 trans and both axles and 6 inch lift from the 79 to my 91.
You can, and there are kits available, but they are spendy. You will spend more money converting these to 5 lug and using half ton brakes than it would cost to buy new wheels.
Here is a chevy / dodge bracket (note 6 holes for the spindle) and it is clearly a 5 on 5.5" pattern.

This kit can run around 500 bucks.
A better idea might be to get 8 lug 15" wheels so you can keep you tires.
With the correct backspacing you can clear big brakes with 15" wheels. I run 15 inch 8 lug wheels on several of my one ton rides.

IF you can find one, Ford offered a 5 lug 5.50" bolt circled Dana 60 as an option on 1961/67 F100's with or w/o Limited Slip.
Thanks for the input guys. Its not that big of a deal to sell my rims and buy new ones but I read that 5 bolt danna 44 is stronger cause you can fit larger u joints. So i was thinkin about that also
